Artist's Comments

While playing chauffer for a morning for a friend who's car was in the shop, my mind started wandering around and I got bit by the art muse with this visual.

Overall, 48 hours or so of work, give or take a couple, spread out over the course of several days. 100% computer-done, optical mouse and PSP8.

Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Characters: The Flame Alchemist, Colonel Roy Mustang, and his top aide, 1st Lieutenant Riza Hawkeye.

OMG, RoyxRiza! YES.

First off though, I don't care for the lips, and her boobs are unrealistically large given how thick those clothes are, or rather shapened. But they are shapened nicely *_* *play swith them* And you did a good job on the fire! and the gun!

*just posted an fma fanart herself moments before you =P!!* Keep up the good work. *checks out your gallery for more fma*

Zanne, I am envious of your ability to draw realistic looking people. The fire looks a bit odd -- kind of angular in the preview -- but the colors are lighting effects are perfect.

there are only a few griped i have with this...

I wouldn't outline Roy's lips so darkly, it makes them look like they arent attached, unrealistic etc. Riza's mouth looks a little lopsided (don't worry about that, mouths are such a pain x_X) And riza's hair looks stiff.

Now I shall praise you :D

The coloring is AMAZING, And I like the fire even though someone before me said it looked angular. The hands and uniforms look really good

Why do they call it Cran-apple juice? call it Crapple.

I like his face. Sexay. Plus, I'm really impressed by the gun. I can never get guns right myself, and especially not in perspective.

This looks great!
Loooooove the fire, great detail on that.
Also the gun is amazing. For a second, it looked like it just popped right out of the pic - and at me. Aah, lol.

Even in the deepest confines of darkness, one can always find a gleam of light.
