Characters: Roy Mustang and Riza Hawkeye
Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist Setting: Cross-genre RPG For a full background setting explanation to what's happening here, the setting, and a short log clip, click here: [link] -- a return link will be provided on the page. Preliminary scrap sketch: [link] Short version: Yes, the setting is more futuristic. That's because they're no longer in Amestris or even on the FMA canon world. They're also longer in the military, although at this point, that was a very recent change. Everyone (Mustang, Hawkeye, Havoc, Breya, Falman, and Fuery) have been through a lot at this point in time and everyone's rather stressed. What happened here, Roy and Riza were out of sync and she contradicted something he said, undoing something he was trying to do, and that pissed him off. He walked off to avoid snapping at her, and later she went looking for him. He didn't have to say a word - she knew he was upset with her and that was enough. Failing him is something that hits her hard. (I can cite specific canon examples of this in both manga and anime, although they're also spoilers.) And this scene when she went to him, I could see it too vividly that I couldn't *NOT* draw it. Side note: Riza Hawkeye, in regard to Roy Mustang, is a perfect example of a strong woman as a submissive. Submissive does not equal weak. She follows him because she *chooses* to do so. I can rant on this for pages, but I'll save that for another time. |

Amen! ^_^ I think that's a lot clearer in the manga than the anime, though.
