So I'm doing the lineart for the art trade, and I start getting the basics for Valgaav down. I get the eye drawn and the horn, but not much else.

Then I come back and observe what I've done, and it dawns on me that at the moment, before the tweaking and detail work's finished... he looks like some deformed, mutated alien creature.

I never had an easier time drawing his hair than I did today after making that observation.

And now he's still mad at me because I've got his hair colored in, and I'm doing Gaav's -- red and green. I can't keep from humming 'It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas' now.

I hate insomina. -_- But at least I'm productive, ne? I'm currently about halfway through with the Gaav/Valgaav fanart I'm working on for an art trade with

I don't really *need* this. o_O

I think I'll reserve it for making notations on certain themes/universes/inspiration sources that will likely either crop up frequently or require a bit of explanation, and link to them in the art description.

And wee! has a dA now! Somebody already took her name. ;_; "Unoriginality" . But UO took my suggestion and went with her current selection. She just got it today and she's in the middle of moving, but once that's done with... She's like me. ^_^ Slayers, Escaflowne, and Devil May Cry fan; a Xellos/Filia 'shipper, Val/Filia 'shipper, Dante/Trish 'shipper, Van/Hitomi, and Celena/'Slayers - Dilandau/'Slayers 'shipper. She's also in all but one of the RPGs I list, and the one she's not in, she helped found and used to play. So a lot of our artwork is cross-mused.
